Believing and Receiving

In the last Victory magazine, I shared that we were believing God to receive some land in Tanzania out in a Maasai area near the water well we had dug for the people of Esilalei village. In fact, I had written an official letter to the village elders and requested that they "gift" the land to Hidden With Christ Ministries. I left the letter with Pastor Zablon who was scheduled to meet with them at the end of April. We knew that they could respond in a number of ways, but we were believing that God would move on their hearts to freely give us the land for the projects we desire to begin in that area.
I was in Northern California attending a Pastor's Conference when I received a phone call from Tanzania on my cell phone. We were at lunch at the time, less than an hour after a morning session where Pastor Bill Johnson had all the ministers stand up who were trying to obtain buildings or land. He prayed for us, saying that God had spoken to him that it was time for churches and ministries to receive the buildings and land they needed for the ministry. My husband and I stood up to receive prayer for that very issue. When my cell phone rang during lunch, I could see from the caller ID that it was Pastor Zablon. I was so excited to hear what he had to say because I knew he should have had that meeting with the village elders.
"Mama, the village elders met and made their decision," Zablon said. "What did they say?" I asked holding my breath. "They said, 'Tell Mama, to come back quickly. We want to give her the title deed in person. She can have as much of the land as she wants.'"
In Mark 11:23-24 Jesus was teaching His disciples about faith and prayer when he said, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
We thank God that He has helped us both to BELIEVE and to RECEIVE from His hand this piece of land in Tanzania. Now we are believing for the finances to build a church and eventually a medical clinic, a children's home and school on that property. When you receive this newsletter I will be in Tanzania working on the legal paperwork to transfer the title to HWCM. A couple who heard this testimony of the miracle of the land, handed me a check for the full price of an airline ticket to Africa with a small post-it note attached. The note read, "GO AND GET THE LAND THAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO YOU."
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
