In the midst of a busy world with increasing demands on your time and attention, how do you take time to “Be Still…and know that He is God?” It is very difficult to do this in your own home environment with electronic communications constantly beckoning you and reminders of your “to do” list all around you. So where would you go to get away for some time of quiet reflection and solitude? After a busy season, Jesus told His disciples in Mark 6:31, “Come away by yourselves…and rest a while.”

The Lord has given us a vision to create a place of Rest, Refreshment, and Restoration for the Body of Christ. It will be called WILDWOOD as it will be located in a beautiful wooded setting with walking trails where people may take time to walk and pray. It will have as its centerpiece a CHRISTIAN CONFERENCE CENTER where Bible Teaching Conferences and Worship Events can be hosted. It will feature a Lodge where conference attendees may stay and individual Chalets where people may come for personal retreats.

Another vital component of Wildwood will be a strategic PRAYER CENTER which will be focused on prayer for both people and events happening around the world with a goal of having volunteers manning it 24 hours per day. An equally important ministry of Wildwood will be the STILL WATERS RESTORATION CENTER which will seek to provide inner healing prayer and counseling for those in need of healing from trauma and emotional wounds. We believe God will send the people who have both the hearts and the anointings to assist us in bringing this portion of the vision to pass.

One great need in the body of Christ that has been on my heart for years, is for a MISSIONARY REST AND RETREAT HOUSE. When a missionary family comes off the mission field for their furlough, they often struggle to find a place to stay. Long-term missionaries have often given up their homes in the USA in order to go to the mission field. So, when they return, they are at the mercy of family and friends for a physical location to rest. Many American families don’t have a dedicated guest room space, and even fewer have room enough to accommodate a family with children. Secondly, when missionaries do stay with relatives or friends, they have little privacy and almost no chance for the uninterrupted rest they desperately need. It has been our desire to be able to provide a house where our own HWCM missionaries (as well as others) can stay during their furloughs and truly rest and be refreshed. It is our dream to have this house located on the Wildwood grounds so that the setting will be both beautiful and restful.

Our immediate prayer is for the land needed for this vision and that it will contain at least one house already built so that we can begin the Wildwood Project with the MISSIONARY REST HOUSE as our first component. We are asking you to pray with us over this vision. We are asking the Lord to show us exactly where He wants WILDWOOD to be located. We are confident that He already has set it apart for this purpose. The following page is a diagram of the various parts of the WILDWOOD vision and we will sincerely appreciate your prayers joining with ours for the provision of the finances, personnel and favor needed for this vision to be brought to pass. Thank you!
